Hi, I’m Emma Blake — a printable stationery designer based in the UK, and the person behind every review, recommendation, and template pick on this site.

I’ve spent the last several years designing and evaluating birthday card and invitation templates professionally. In that time, I’ve personally reviewed over 400 templates across Creative Fabrica, Canva, and Etsy — testing them for print resolution, Canva compatibility, ease of customisation, and real-world usability at A5 and 5×7 inch sizes. Most template review sites list whatever ranks well. I list what actually prints well.

Why I Started This Site

The problem with finding birthday templates online is that the results are dominated by marketplaces, not reviews. You search, you get thousands of options, and you have no idea which ones will look sharp when you print them, which ones have clean edit zones in Canva, or which ones come with a commercial licence that covers what you need.

Birthday Templates Hub exists to answer those questions before you download anything. Every template recommended here has been evaluated against the same criteria I use in my own design work: 300 DPI minimum for print, clean editable text zones, a consistent visual hierarchy, and a licence that’s clearly stated.

My Review Criteria

Every template I feature is evaluated against five criteria:

Print resolution: 300 DPI minimum — below this, serif fonts and fine botanical linework print blurry at A5 and 5×7 inch sizes
Canva compatibility: confirmed to open and edit in Canva without additional software
Editable text zones: clearly defined areas for name, date, and message — no fiddly workarounds
Licence clarity: commercial licence terms clearly stated by the creator
Design quality: visual balance, typographic hierarchy, and finish that holds up at print size
